SVS’s Danny Huynh On the Run | Giving Back

Danny, a part of our industrial valve repair team, is making a difference in his community.Southern Valve Service is proud to share the inspiring story of one of our own, D.T. “Danny” Huynh. A dedicated welder by profession and a compassionate humanitarian by nature, Danny’s journey is one of hard work, perseverance, and a deep commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. Danny joined the Southern Valver Service team in 2021 as a Valve Technician. His exceptional skills and dedication quickly propelled him to become a vital member of our welding team. But it’s outside the workshop where Danny’s true passion shines – on the race tracks, running for a cause greater than himself.

A passionate runner, Danny has been involved in competitive racing since 2018. But it’s not just the thrill of the race that drives him; it’s the community and the friendships he’s forged along the way. For Danny, running is more than a physical activity; it’s a mental therapy that keeps him grounded and focused.

Danny & Ainsley’s Angels

One of Danny’s most remarkable endeavors is his involvement with Ainsley’s Angels, a charity dedicated to inclusivity in races. Through this, he helps those with special needs experience the joy and thrill of racing, pushing them in specially designed race chairs. This noble cause resonates with the story of Ainsley Rossiter, a girl whose radiant smile and indomitable spirit continue to inspire thousands.

Danny’s commitment to charitable work is profound. Not only does he participate in 5-10 races annually, including a 100-mile race in Illinois last November, but he also innovatively combines his love for running with philanthropy. Three years ago, on his birthday, Danny decided to run for 24 hours straight, creating an annual event where friends donate to a chosen charity for every mile he runs. In his first attempt, he impressively covered 77 miles, turning his athletic prowess into a force for good for St. Jude Hospital.
